Not a bad day at all - got to fly a new plane (model) I just finished - got that home in one piece!

Had a nice ecard from my son and DIl - and my dear daughter in UK sent not one but three cards!!  One was a flippant fun one - capitalizing for humor on my proclivity for flatulence! ;D  The second was from her and her old man ... and the third she sent as from my granson (still we little), Matthew.

I still even now feel unworthy of any such attention from my kids - don't know why - just don't feel I really deserve any special favors.  But it's nice nonetheless! :)

Happy day!!
It was a nice, and a little sad, Fathers Day.  My only child, daughter, lives across country.  Even though we did talk by phone and she did send a nice card, it is of course not the same.  All of those memories of the many yesterdays ...

My son, a large 65 pound white standard poodle, did give me many Fathers Day licks.   I know - what is a MountainMan doing with a big poodle.

Mountain man - true enough tho - this is one of those times I am glad for the phone!  Apart from my three cards my dear daughter called as well - that from UK 3,600 miles away across the water ....... a lot better than not, tho a chance for a hug is way better eh!

Memeories?  Oh my - don't set me off - I am ''Nostalgia King''! :D

Chris:
I fought the urge to get out the photo albums - I would have been sob city - not a pretty sight.   Seems like we live in the same State and our daughters are both thousands of miles away - just in opposite directions.

Dave - PA eh - I hadn't realized.  Which area?

I am down sorta SW ........ find where I 99 crosses Turnpike - and I am about 13 miles to NW of there.

Hah - photo albums.  Heck I have to be in great shape to go thru those without lumps in the throat.!

Hey - here is an ol' B/W pic from when my ''lil' girl'' was about 4 years old - 1979 - one of my faves.

And, one of my boy in 1981 aged 4 also .....

Sorry - I am ''wallowing''!!! ;)

I have some fond memories of PA.

Once I took my wife on a surprise vacation, where she did not know the destination.

We went thru Ohio, West Virginia, and then PA.

We went to Fallingwater to see Frank Lloyd Wright's wonderful house built on the waterfall.

She was absolutely thrilled.  Did not have a clue where she was going.

I was quite a hero.

Chris:
Cute kids - your daughter is a year older than mine.  See you made the mistake of getting out the old pictures - now you've had it - where are the kleenex.

I'll have to look at the map to get an idea of your 10-20.  We use to have a camp in Bedford County - don't know if that is your area without the map - my brother owns it now.   I'm in the Western area half way up the State not far from Moraine State Park(Lake Arthur).

Well time for bed - work tomorrow - take care!

Oh man - am I ever blessed.

Dave - Bedford is the '20' yes - you got it, just 13 miles outa town.!!  Guess you ain't so very far really - nice area I reckon eh.

Maybe one day when I have a shoot again down here you may be able to come.

Have a good week (if work can ever be called good!).
