Jim:

Thanks for the collection of holster links -- although I just spent most of an hour going through it when I should have been working for a client.   :P

Mika's holster are truly remarkable.  I marvel every time I see one in use.   They are very affordable, last a long time and work as advertised...

Great list for researching, but some of the companies do not make one for the Rohrbaugh.  Has anyone refined a list solely for the Rohrbaugh?

I got his tactical pocket mirror and use it when I need to keep an eye on what's behind my back (ie. sitting in a restaurants, etc.) His protective holster/cover is nice, too.

Another place that always giving me the creep is standing over the public restroom's urinal. I am always paranoid of what's going on behind me.  Haven't found a good solution to that problem, yet!

All of which reminds me of that great scene in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" in which Eli Wallach, playing the role of Tuco Ramirez, is taking a bath when a one-armed gunslinger bursts through a door and begins to gloat about having finally cornered him.  Four shots suddenly erupt from the bath water and the one-armed gunslinger staggers back and falls to the floor.  Ramirez then stands up with a revolver in his hand, covered in suds, finishes the gunslinger with a final shot, wags his pistol reprovingly, and says: "When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk!"   :D

So, since this is under the "Rohrbaugh Accessories" section, can someone refine the list to show which make holsters for the R9?

We make Rohrbaugh specific Kydex Pocket Holsters. The Model C (with extra mag) is available in Carbon Fiber laminate and regular Kydex. We also make a Model A (without spare mag) in regular and extra tacky C-10 texture. All of our holsters come with a 30 day satisfaction guarantee.Check them out at:

>>Hi Edward...

I am very impressed with the designs and materials you have so well put to use in making Pocket Holsters for such an array of Mouse Guns.

To tell you the truth, although perhaps functional I never would have thought a Rohrbaugh would look good holstered in Kydex or Carbon Fiber - but you have done just that.  My only concern is long term durability as I have seen old Kydex materials become brittle with age.  Not so much a problem with a $10 Kydex product as you can easily (read "cheaply") replace it.  But given your prices it is a concern to me.  Could you please address this issue regarding both your Kydex and Ultra Thin Carbon Fiber Holsters...?  Also, can you provide separate mag holsters for your guns of choice...?

Thanks in advance for your information and efforts to clothe our R-9s...TW<<

Thank you. It is nice to be appreciated. Our rigs are competitively priced when compared to the highest (stellar) quality makers. The Carbon Fiber Laminate is five times (500%) more expensive than standard Kydex but we only charge 40% more for each holster.

You are right to ask about lifespan and quality. I will not mention any names here but "cheapy" holsters deliver a temporary product. A couple of my designs were "borrowed" by one such maker. At first I was very angry, then I handled the other guy's products at a gun show. I just broke out laughing. Although internet images made the products look nice, they are poorly made knock-offs.

Most folks don't mind paying for a better product. They just need to understand why it's better. Since the new guys have tried to capture the "cheapskate market," I make it a point to fly my satisfaction guarantee like a flag. People are always going to look for a good deal. If they try the other stuff first and feel like they got burned I try to restore their faith in American craftsmanship.

Most of our customers reorder. They just don't need to reorder the same item :-)

>>Edward...

Thanks for your quick reply.  You have to understand, many of us here on the forum (me) don't know squat about kydex vs. KYDEX. And although you didn't really answer my question about whether or not your products are likely/possibly subject to breakage with time, I do appreciate your attitude towards business and customers.

Folks here on the Rohrbaugh forum are used to paying for quality craftsmanship and products, so assuming your products hold up for a loooog time, you might have come to the right place, although pretty soon our keen-eyed moderators might ask you to take this to the "Classifieds" section.  I've already spent all my pocket change for the week, but hopefully one of us will soon give your products a try and report back here...TW<<

Two of our customers recommended we register and get involved with this Forum. As for lasting a long time - yes, our rigs do. Anyone in business knows that customers are far more likely to air a complaint than seek channels to advertise or promote great products. 11 years of good business says we are doing it right.
