Title: Snow
Post by: MRC on February 02, 2011, 09:49:36 AM
Well it looks like I am stuck in the house today as Eastern Iowa received about 16" of snow and the wind is still gusting to 45 mph.  A good day to spend on the reloading press.

Lucky you, I know what that is like from living South of Buffalo, NY for 50 + years, but now I live in NC and right now it is 59 degrees here.
   Enjoy your day reloading.  :D

I'm at home too, the wife and I decided not to risk our vehicle to get to work.
It's an ice rink out there.

I guess I was wrong.  We had 16" yesterday and 5" more after midnight for 21" total.  It's 5' deep in front of my garage.  Back to the basement for me.

MRC,
You probably have great places to shoot out there!

I don't miss the endless northern winters and regular heavy snowfalls at all. ;D

Stay warm and don't overdo it on the snow removal.

Well it is 13 below zero this A.M.  Got dug out yesterday but the city still hasn't got to my street.  I'm only 1 block off the snow route so that isn't a problem.

In answer to your question on places to shoot TBI, we have a great club here.  135 acres, 7 point Benchrest to 200 yd, 17 point Highpower rifle ranges at 200, 300, and 600 yd, 30 point conventional pistol range at 50 yd,  3 informal pistol ranges out to 50 yd with separating concrete walls, and 12 point indoor pistol and rimfire range out to 25 yd open 24/7 to members.

The best thing is the price at $75.00 a year for me as a senior.  $175 otherwise.

Now that is impressive for $75 or even $175 a year. :D

MRC.  You've got a bargain at that price.  Our range here in NC charges $125 per year regardless of age and now to join is $600 plus dues, up from a previous of $300.
