Nice summary. I like your little box chart and the organization of the photos.
My personal experience mirrors yours: Any gun over 16 ounces loaded is just too heavy for pocket carry. I have a NAA .380, carried it daily for 18 months, and always felt it dragging in my pocket. My Rohrbaugh R9S is only 4 ounces lighter (and marginally larger) than the NAA, but what a difference in comfort. Not to mention greater confidence in the 9mm over .380 ACP round.

I added some info on the thread you started on CombatCarry - plus a link to a page on the R9 FAQ site. We arrived at, on that thread, the possibility of adding a Derringer as a category and, the Bersa Thunder .380.

I carry a NAA mini with custome "D" rigs on the hoster for neck or key chain carry, with two I can use a mini padlock if needed.

When I carry my purse I put my barretta In it. with 2 extra clips.

for coat wearing the S+W 642 as it may be fired from a pocket, purse or muffler.

target and qualifying I use a 9MM H+K with 95 gn it shoots its self. accuratly.

I am looking into the KT in 32 or 9mm. and I would love to get one of those little swiss mini guns. then no one would notice it at all. as it is the NAA fits nicely In certain apparl

For fun the Walters .380 ppk/s. or the wild west the valquaro (pre 03) - anne Oakley forever......

Post by: pauline on July 31, 2006, 07:40:29 PM: I have quite a few now. I sold many my husband left me when he passed away. I do miss the anaconda .44 short barrel. it fit the hand so nice. I have really bad cash flow problems.

I am very hard pressed on selling any of the ones I mentioned as they all have a place and a use.

I picked up a springfield xd .40 compact last fall, its since to shoot, ready when needed but heavey as a rock. Like most women I do not like to wear a belt. its just too heavey for a skirt or slacks. but it is impressive.

sportsmans wherhouse had to give me too good a deal. any purchase over 500 you got 150 back in a trade card. and the springfield was being price matched. 429. i hate likeing bargans.

For sure - do your very best not to sell any guns if possible. I Like most of us have only ever regretted the very few I parted with - leaving aside what had to go when I was still a Limey - UK 1997 - lost (Stolen by Gov) all 24 of my handguns!

That XD-40 is an excellent carry gun IMO.

It might be nice to try a NAA .17 sometime.

Unfortunatly at the end of my first marriage I had to part with 43 very nice and old guns. Now that hurt. but my H was an a** and it was the only way to settle things out.

I had some real odd balls. .357 redhawk. 41 RH and a 44 RH.

they were good deer guns on the 41 and 44. rifles carry to fat today, and shotguns really hurt the shoulder when you have bursidus.( PS, I cant spell). just so you know.

My father tought me about guns, he was a cop. made sure I knew how to use them. and when. Miss him, same for my late husband.
