JH, that is extraordinary work, indeed -- and right here in Tennessee. Thank you for the lead on Hero.com. I can't believe that I was unaware of their work.

And Tom, I promise to slow down on posting photographs of that "retina burner" of mine, as Brenden calls it. As for the Judge, since she has statutory power to revoke carry permits, I am extremely deferential toward her in that regard at all times -- not that I wouldn't be so anyway, realizing just what a lucky man I am to have convinced her to take a chance on me.

Some very nice looking guns guys, but to me even an old Army beater is beautiful, as long as it's a 1911.

I agree. Just take a look at this photograph from LIFE Magazine, circa 1938. And the pistol was said to have been 20 years old at the time.

That's a beauty, and I bet there was no Break In period when they first started shooting it.
