R9 w/mag is 15.1 oz

XR9s w/mag is 17.5 oz

2.4 oz difference is not a lot IMO.  Most comparisons I've seen here and other places put the R9 at 13.5 oz but that number is not counting the magazine.

Yep, it's looks are either a love or hate kind of thing.

Corey,

Slight difference in R9 weight with mag, 14.3 oz., according to this.

Well, Rohrbaugh's own site shows

13.5 + 1.6 and that is 15.1 oz

All I see is 13.5 oz. "unloaded." Am I missing something?
In any case, I don't wish to pocket carry anything heavier than the R9.

They show a picture with the empty gun on a digital scale and a empty mag beside it on a separate digital scale.

Ok, thanks, and mine weighs a bit more with a mag extension. I like the Borberg but can't see it as a pocket carry.

That's understandable.

So, other than the new whiz bang, what is the carry option?

I'm going with front pocket.  The weight won't bother me, heck, I'm 275lbs myself.  Lol.   I guess we won't know until you have in hand to see what will work for that person.

It is very unique and a well conceived design.

My R9 weighs in at 18.0 oz loaded with 115 gr, the PM9 at 19.7 loaded with 115 gr, so that means the Boberg comes in at 20.5 oz.  I would have no trouble with that.

I do not notice thae extra weight of the PM9, it is the square top of the slide I notice in my pocket.

I agree, MRC.  I would have no problems with the weight, either.  As to whether I would carry the Boberg over the R9 or Seecamp remains to be seen; probably not, however, it would receive some carry time I'm sure.

I like new and interesting ideas and the Boberg fits that concept along with a quality look.
