Regarding the blue streak on the grips. Carbon Fiber (CF) comes in Black. If you getting it in another color it has something else woven into it. Usually nylon. Our colored materials have CF running both ways but also have a flat colored metallic thread woven in.
When I enlarge the pictures the CF fibers look to be flattened out around the blue steak area. I can achieve a similar effect with a black CF grip if I sand or buff the epoxy down to far and get into the fibers. (We trash them when it happens.) If this is the case then the blue material would be exposed also and the dyes in the nylon could eventually streak. Maybe from handling or possibly from contact with a cleaner or other chemical. Kwikseal might delay it from happening but will eventually wear off.
I'm not finding fault here. It's just my opinion that the finishing process removed a little to much material. It would not affect the function of the grips at all.
