R9 conversion to .380 kit
« on: February 01, 2016, 12:09:05 PM »
Anyone seen these R9 conversion kits?
Comes with a complete slide and barrel, allows .380 to be shot on an R9 frame.
Anyone have one of these?

I think someone just hi-jacked some parts and is selling them on ebay and Gunbroker.

I would think that everything would need to be fitted by a Smith and a magazine change also.

If you want a 380, buy a Remington.

These "Conversion Kits" had better give you a correct new .380 barrel & slide combination, at least one new .380 magazine, a new .380 extractor, a new .380 ejector and a new .380 recoil setup. . . . . and yes ~ You will need a gunsmith of good character to fit them all on your R9 frame.  (I wouldn't do that to an R9)

                 If not. . . . . Stay away from them! . . . . . (Run Forest ~ Run!)

I was sold on the .380 the day Eric let me shoot the prototype in Farmingdale.  Glad I have one!
