Ahhh - email is in Dave, thank you - and well, the file was pretty wierd with name and no extension!!  Probably plays in your special cell software.

Tried it as AVI - no good but when I made it .MOV - success and it played in VLC media player! :).  I called the file 'steamclock.mov' and this should play for anyone else in Quicktime player.

Fascinating - in particular the amount of steam released !!!!  I hope maybe the whole thing is hooked up to town water - and, natural gas supply, otherwise someone would be awful busy.

Anyone else who might enjoy a view of it - CLICK HERE - I have put it on one of my servers.

Chris, thanks for that photo.  The first time I saw it I was in college and couldn't help but stop and stare every time I saw it.  I never did have the money to buy it back then, even though I wanted to.  There is so much feeling in that picture.  I think it makes us, who weren't there understand, just a little bit.  Pure emotion.

On a side note to the Vietnam theme, I worked with a guy a while ago who's Lt. while he was over there has written a book called, "Phase Line Green; The Battle for Hue, 1968"  Good book if you are interested.  It was very cool to read the book and then talk to one who was there and get "the rest of the story".

Roc - I am dead sure there are thousands of untold stories - many of the potential writers probably could not express and write about.  So much hurt and pain.  if I had more reading time i might get that book - first hand accounts are usually rivetting reading.

Dave - I had assumed that clip had no sound but what you said in email suggested it did.  Oh well - it is still great to just see the action of it!

Chile material!! ;)

Also 3 pups-A pre R,an early R,and a Deer Park.. 8)

As an aside,in my area of MI.there are a lot bears-but it takes a few years to be able to get a chance to get a "shot" at one of them..
She was 298 lbs.,and 19 yrs. old.. :)

There we have - the ''bear facts'' about Brenden's R9 ownership :)

Three Brenden pups - shucks man - I hope your early one gets back-of-safe space to rest and appreciate!!

That 19 year old info - is that worked out from dentition - or what?  Not sure how you'd do that.

Bedford County here had a tally of 94 bears IIRC - up 200% on previous year.

There was a big bear harvest in PA this year.

Brenden - I can see the new all black R9 in your future.

While this is definately not where I live, I imagine it has to be one of the best ways to wake up. To look out your window and see the Rocky Mountains each morning.

This is actually base housing on Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. Pretty decent.

The bear that I had taken was ear tagged..So there was accurate info on the animal..
They tracked and collected a ton of info thru following bears thru radio collars-which she was one early on in her life..

I happen to know the person that dealt with these animals and therefore know a "bit" more info than normally..

Bear Facts...I do like that Chris.. 8)  ;D

Brenden,  Congrats on that bear. 298 pounds is alot of chile. They are tough to come by.  I got my 1st one this season.. I've been hunting 32 years now.  Here in NY  the biologists check out all bears killed.  They took the small tooth  behind the incisor on each side. Somehow they determine the age from the teeth.  Hopefully the next one won't take me another 32 years. Dan
