H&K P7
« on: September 13, 2010, 10:27:10 AM »
Ok, I have one at last, P7 PSP, two tone, grade A condition with original box. Really it looks like new.

Long story...but all the online leads failed and I found this one at a gun show 90 miles away from my house.
Will have my son post some pictures when he is free one night.

Went to find a pair of Nill grips and found out on Nill's website that I have a hybrid variant V3, and they don't make a grip for the V3's.

Any of the P7 experts out there have any idea of where else I may be able to acquire wood grips?

Sorry, I forgot to ask, there was a post not long ago with some nice information on P7's, does anyone remember where it is?  I looked but can't find it.

Dino.  Congrats on the P7.  Excellent.  Here's a link that may help.  If not, type in H & K P7 in the search, change the number of days, and the number of search items you want and you should find the link you're looking for.

Congratulations on your "squeeze cocker"! They occupy a unique niche in the world of handguns.

Thank you Richard, Brenden and KJ.  I'll try to attach the pictures my son sent to my photobucket if I can.

Still don't know what I have as there is no P7 or PSP on the gun itself but the original box lable has, "P7PSP SILVER SLIDE".
Serial number is 375**.

Can't find anything out about the silver slide, have not seen one at any of the sites.

Until "P7Enigma" returns from his undisclosed secure location, and without seeing the reverse side, I think what you may have there is a P7 manufactured circa 1980 and finished with a nickel-plated slide.

Here is a post by P7M13 on the PCT Forum which has stood the test of time:

PSP - Early 9mm version labled PSP on slide & checkered grips. About 239 of these reportedly made before transitioning to the P7.
P7 - Labled P7 on the stippled grip with protruding heel mag release, 9mm x 19 on slide. This is also commonly referred to as the P7PSP (or mistakingly the PSP) but the slide or grip is not marked so.
P7E - Same as P7 but with flush heel mag release, labled P7E on frame and P7 on the grips. This is also commonly referred to as the P7PSP but is not marked so.
P7PSP - Last production run of the heel mag release guns in 1997, labled P7PSP on the slide and P7 on the grips. These came with a lifetime warranty unlike any of the previous heel mag release guns. Looks the same as the P7E.
P7M8 - Labled P7M8 on slide & grips with grip frame mag release behind trigger, 9mm. Also had a commemorative version of 500 guns in 2004.
P7M13 - Same as P7M8 but labled P7M13 and 13 round capacity.
P7K3 - Labled P7K3 on slide & grips, interchangeable in .22LR, .32ACP, & .380ACP calibers.
P7M10 - Labled P7M10 on the slide & grips, holds 10 rounds of .40S&W and has a taller slide.

Thanks Richard, just was accepted to the PCT forum.

It looks like I have a P7E, P7 is on my grip but no where on the frame is a P7E or P7.  I do have a flush heel mag release.

I'll try to post the other side for you without blowing up the page.

Dino:

It's difficult for me to see, but is one of those markings on the right side of the slide an oval enclosing the stamp, "Nds"? If so, your pistol was once issued to the Lower Saxony State Police in Germany. There's an entire portion of PCT devoted to them, of which our own "P7Enigma" is a moderator. He should surface again before too long and will be able to tell you more about your new "squeezer."

Way to go Dino!!!

Nice HK!!

CDNN had some of the "current" P7s slides refinished in the silver tone..

Could be one of these?

Would love to have an original "PSP",very few of those around..
