I am getting ready to take the R-9 down the road for its first cleaning. And was wondering if there is a video?
thanks

I had some trouble with my first disassembly and reassembly, but after that it is simple now. Best of luck!!!

Now that makes it look simple. Excellent.

I don't have enough hand strength to do it that easily. Good for him though.
-
I had seen that a few days ago and almost didn't believe my eyes but he is definitely the kung fu of take down and reassembly. It is not that easy.
-
It's all in the correct grip. Master that and you're home free. No tools needed.
-
Thanks, but I will stick with the tools.
-
I'm with Tracker. (Saving my hand strength, you know. 8) )
-
I do understand. The correct grip, though, does make a world of difference.
-
the videos helped alot.

Never had the tools and came across the forum long after I acquired the R9; so I did not know of any other way.

I workd on the grip yesterday and got it down. The only tool I need is something to remove the pin.
I have to say the video really made a world of difference with take down and assembly.
Thanks I now feel comfortable quickly breaking down and assembling the R-9...

The straw to a WD-40 can to remove the pin, works for me, as in the video. Good that you mastered the grip. Doesn't take but a few trys.
-
Never thought of using the straw, just grabbed whatever was handy. Usually broke a wooden Q-tip in half or pick up a tooth pick if one was laying around.

The straw works like a charm. The Ballistol can has a straw also and works just as well. Amazing, something so simple does the job.
