I love my Glock 43. I was anxious to hear about & check out the New Glock 43X ( 10+1 ). Went to my favorite Gun Shoppe today because they told me their 1st shipment of 43Xs came in. It is a beauty of a gun...and then a damn red head walked by (personal joke )...a New Glock 48. Identical to a 43X except it is one of Glock's new Slimline guns. Also a 10+1, but with a longer grip. It fit my hand perfectly w/o any mag extension. Bought it, will shoot it this weekend. I'm told that it is less snappy than my Sig P365 & also my Glock 43. I'll let you know.

The 43X and 48 share the same grip frame. The 48 slide/barrel is actually slightly longer than a 19. A Glock rep told me this has something to do with Canadian import regulations.
The 48 is an interesting gun.

I also have the 48, and the 43.
I bought the 48 right after I confirmed the 43 slide will fit on it.
The slides are interchangeable.

I really wish they would bring the Glock 46 to the US market.
Seems like Glock only makes concessions like it for LEO/Mil contracts.

Thus creating a 43L!

The 43L is working out great!
EDC all day every day and at the range it is flawless.
I’ve realized there is no need to place the 43 slide on the 48 frame, the 48 as is conceals with no issues.
43L, great name DD.
