Title: Bond Arms Bullpup

Just picked this up -- a loaner for review purposes.   Bond Arms is now manufacturing the former Boberg XR9.  I have handled a Boberg before, but never fired one.  Looking forward to giving this one a try.

Definitely different.

The Boberg XR9's were pretty good guns.  I have several and they all work great and are easy to shoot and quite accurate.

I really wanted the XR45 to work for me but the ergonomics are horrible.  It was rushed to market way too early as Arne was wanting to leave his marriage and his Wife was as active in the Company as he was so he was forced to get employment elsewhere.  Sad, as far as I was concerned, Arne was the company.

Bond took their time in getting production up and going, over 2 years, so I hope they have it right.  I wish them well.

I rather like the wood grips, but if it were my company, the BOND BULLPUP9 sure could have been done in better taste and size, i.e., smaller. I like things classier I guess and not so "boasting".  But, that's just me. . . . . what do I know. . . . . .

There is a member here, I will let him speak up rather than mention his name, who I THINK told me he has consecutive numbered guns. He is a VERY private person.

I always wondered how these things carried. With at least half the gun behind the trigger guard, that only leaves a small amount to fit into a holster, thus making it flop or at the very least be awkward to draw, IMHO. Anyone have experience with this, please post your thoughts/comments.

I carried one for maybe 6 months in my right front pocket.  I carried it in a DeSantis Super Fly made for a PM9.

It was not a very good fit so it rode high in my pocket which made drawing the gun quite easy.  The Super Fly's are 'sticky' enough that they just do not move in my pocket at least.  Both the Solo and the PM9 are easier to carry than the Boberg so I switched to carrying the Solo.

The Boberg is probably the best shooter of the three, but they are all very good guns and easy to shoot.

I would not recommend the Bond Bullpup if you are looking for a pocket pistol but the Boberg was an easy shooting, accurate, and reliable pistol.
