Hogue Extreme Grips
« on: July 22, 2009, 08:29:34 PM »
I finally got around to shooting my R9s with the Hogue Extreme Grips a second time.  (My black Carbon Fiber original grips are "resting" in the safe.)

Conclusion:
The Hogue units make the gun noticeably more controllable.  I say that because I realized after two range sessions that the gun didn't try to squirm around in my hand.  Not that I had much complaint with the C.F. grips, but I found I was hitting better with the Hogues on the gun.

Guess I'll leave the Hogues on - for now. Or until the "next great thing" comes along.... ;D

That makes a lot of sense to me and thanks for the report.  I just received my hogue extreme grips last week and have not had a chance to get out but I really like what I feel in these grips.  If I had CF grips  they would be on the shelf because practical use rather than pretty suits me just fine.
Good Luck,

Do they have any affect on the size of the gun?

The "extreme" checker panels, otherwise they are the same color and material.  I was actually thinking of having checkering done on the front and back strap and re-blued on my R9 till I got these grips, now I am satisfied.

Do they stick to your shirt? When you draw your gun?

The above link for the Hogue grips no longer works.  Can someone please post a pic of the grips?  Thanks,

Here's a link to the Rohrbaugh new site and to a new Rohrbaugh Robar which comes with the Hogue custom grips.

The Rohrbaugh Store, according to the site, will be up soon.
