To sell or not to sell.
« on: July 04, 2017, 06:59:48 AM »
I have 6 R9's, two tones, Sealths, Stealth Elites, and a Covert and am thinking of selling one. I realize 6 is a 'bit' much but they don't take up a lot of space. Sell or not sell?

Kevin,
Choosing the one to sell would be the problem for me!!
Good luck on the choice.

For 500 each you should sell them all.

Sell the COVERT Kevin. . . . . . .

Sell the COVERT Kevin. . . . . . .

I considered it but it is so rare, can't remember ever seeing one on G-broker, that I wouldn't know what to ask. LOTS, but I don't know how much LOTS.

I bought it NIB and put 3 rounds through it to test fire it.

The thing about the "covert". . . . . It's not our gun. They were standard R9 two tone models sent to Wilson Combat for customization by a gun store that bought them. Not our design............... The others you have are Rohrbaugh designed and manufactured. Just saying......

Through the years, I sold 2 Rohrbaughs that actually bothered me...a Cogan & a Covert. Both, in my opinion, not original Rohrbaughs. But, they do add depth to one's collection & I understand the desire to own both of these guns. To each his own...JMO.

That is exactly why I wanted one. It is late model Rohrbaugh with updates PLUS Wilson's 'touch.' The best of two great companies. I couldn't see a problem. Kind of like AMG doing a Mercedes Benz, Lingfelter doing a Corvette, or Lebanon Ford doing a 10 second Mustang.

If you're a collector, you should keep the Covert and sell one each of the two tones and stealths.  You've probably paid the top two prices for Elites ever, so selling those might not get you your ROI.

LOL - I guess I will rescind my statement due to the responses here. I had no idea you folks felt that way about the "aftermarket" R9s. lol. I fully understand your thoughts on this matter. Carry on now . . . . Oh, and Kevin. . . . You're on your own bud.  lol.  ;D

Put it on G-broker this morning. It was sold in 45 minutes. The seller wanted a GOOD ONE and said he remembered seeing my name on here so thought he is getting more than one from a dealer or casual user. Guess it does pay to have our name used OFTEN on here.

Guess you could say THIS site sold my R9 on  G-broker. Post here and OFTEN. You may be next.  ;D ;D

Interesting. I'll see how that works next week on Gunbroker then.
