I'm sure Eric has an interesting story on this gun. Unusual serial #!

It must have been a special order that requested the BDE-LISC-1 s/n. The black grips place it a few years after 2004 when the first runs were made in Farmingdale.

BDE are the initials of the former owner of LISC, Long Island Shooting Center.  I have the LISC serial on what looks like a Robar R9. These guns were seized by the ATF when BDE got into some hot water and were sold at auction.

That makes three variations of the LISC serial.  Eric, are you sure one of those wasn't a Robar?

Were these early production guns? The serial numbers look like they were engraved very crudely, especially the one that is in the link above.

This looks just like mine.  That would be the fourth LISC serial.  I think it is also a Robar.

The above four guns are four separate serials. The one that recently sold had July 2009 markings.  Does someone now have two of these?

I have the second one in the group of three.  It is not a Robar, but it is a Farmie.
Eric I noticed a center punch mark on the barrel about a 1/2 inch to the left of 9 MM stamping. Was this done at the factory for a reason?

I think the ones with the Hogue grips, mirror polish trigger, extractor, mag release, hammer and grip screws are Robars.  The finish exactly matches my actual Robar.

That was a crude marking to test the Rockwell (hardness) of the barrel after it being heat treated.

None of those LISC guns were Robar treated by the factory (RFC)

The owners of Long Island Shooting Center wanted special serial numbered guns. We made two, I believe. . . . one for each owner.

These were early on in our production and we were still getting our act together at the time. We probably should have changed the bit of the engraver more often back then. Not my call at the time, sad to say.

ECR, there are four different serial combinations  pictured above.

LISC-BDE-1
1-BDE LISC
1 LISC BDE
BDE LISC 1
