Where to have color matched to frame color?
« on: May 12, 2008, 10:17:49 AM »
I don't know where to post this so here it goes.

I have some aluminum that I want to have refinished to match the frame color of the R9.  An exact match would be ideal.  If not possible then for those folks that have had handguns refinished in some type of black, what would be the closest color match to the R9?

Would it be possible to get an exact match of the black frame color of the current 2 tone R9?

Would it make a difference what type of aluminum I would want to have anodized(?)?  Meaning, if the R9 aluminum is different than what I want anodized, would the color actually come out different because of the different makeup of the base material.

I think it was noted that Rohrbaugh uses S&W for the frame finishing.  Just wondering if I could send them a small item and have it matched to the frame color?

Thanks

Those are questions for the experts. Probably have to call S&W for the best answer.
