« on: August 29, 2009, 11:06:49 PM »
I got the 9mm because is a 9mm and alot of ammo to choose from and is a lot cheaper than 380 so why would someone get a 380 version?

Either less felt recoil or residency somewhere outside of the U.S.
where .9mm. is not allowed are the only two reasons that come
to mind. Other than that, I don't have a clue.

The reasons tracker gave are what comes to mind for me as well.

Good answer, Dino.  If you build it, they will buy;  maybe not in great quantities.

I have them both I carry the R9 because of obvious reasons and I got the 380 because of the Rohrbaugh name.  My R9 is carry all the time shot alittle.  The 380 is for having fun at the range I put everything thru it and hold it every which way and it works flawlessly...  never leave home with out it!!!  ;D Oh and I got the Houge Extreme series grips on the 380 and it looks hot!!!

Venus.  Welcome to the forum.  Glad you like each one.  They are both works of art.

Venus:

Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on the two Rohrbaughs.  I must say that it shows real style to have the 9mm for personal carry and the .380ACP for recreation.  8)

Venus - welcome to the forum!

And thank you for giving your reasons which are valid.  I've had the same question in mind myself.

Hey guys havn"t checked in for awhile.  Been super busy.  I too carry my R-9 and plink with the 380.  Its great for friends and my kids because it doesn't kick like the R-9. We shoot till the ammo runs out.  Dan
