Sig Sauer P239 in 357 sig
« on: May 31, 2009, 10:30:54 PM »
Visitng gander mt. 2 weeks ago and saw an almost new in blue box with 2 extra mags with paddle holster and  2 mag holder sig 239 in 357 sig {with night sites} ,it  fit my hand like a glove and as it was not technically new was able to negogitate an extra 10% off and  after the B Day discount it was about $600 they did  {get me} on ammo but what can  one do?  Also { 6 months same as cash} which sweetened the deal!
I'd never fired a 357 sig so I was a little anxious-it was not bad at all- I fired 2 boxes of FMJ practice ammo on memorial day weekend
PS Thanks to all the past and present of the armed forces that have allowed me these freedoms
The gun was superb- no FTF's jams etc 100 rounds
and was it was decidedly more accurate than I am-work in progress-
Anyway I would recommend the gun plus I like the ability to swap to 40 cal- after it's paid off-and maybe after I get some wood grips and laser site- my new fave :D
Thanks -Al

Al,
Congrats on the great buy; .357 Sig is a terrific caliber and the 239
is a wonderful gun. The Texas State Highway Patrol switched to the
.357 Sig several years ago and that remains their choice today.
As you said it is very accurate and the stopping power is superb.
