FYI on the Robar NP3 finish
« on: April 25, 2012, 03:36:45 PM »
I spoke to Maria today to order a set of the blue carbon fiber VZ grips. I told her i was going to send in one of my PUPs for the Robar NP3 finish and below is the response she had sent me. She said some people who sent in their R9 for the NP3 finish had some problems so here is the list of what can be coated and what cannot be coated.

Can Be Coated: Slide, Frame, Trigger, Barrel, Plunger, Barrel Pin, Trigger / Mag Pins, Magazine Release and Magazines

DO NOT Coat: Extractor, Ejector, Sear / Trigger Bar, Hammer, Springs and Grip Screws

If there is a part not on the list don’t assume that it’s ok to coat give us a call first to verify…

Thanks for the info! I wonder if the same goes for hard chrome finishes. Getting ready to send mine in soon.

I am not sure.
You may want to contact Maria.
Bob Cogan of AP&W may know as well.

Good advice, I'll check with Maria before I send it to AP&W.
