Can someone post pics of a Seecamp & R-9?
« on: December 03, 2004, 07:32:23 AM »
I know FJC posted some beautiful pictures of his R-9, with keys, and a watch, and a Sig 225, and a Kel-Tec.
I just would like to see the Seecamp, and R-9 side by side, or an overlay, or a variety.
Six of us just ordered our R-9's, and we own Seecamps, yet none of us even held an R-9, nor even saw one in a display case.
We'd like to view some comparison photos of the two guns to have something to compare, and keep us stimulated for the next six months or so.
Thanks

The 1938 Nazi Weapons Law is alive and well in the United States, and is called, "The Gun Control act of 1968", and is enforced by the modern day gestapo, known as the BATF.

Justin - great pics! They really give me a much better perspective on the Rohrbaugh as I also have a Seecamp. My only trepidation about the R9 has been if it may be too small for my hands but your pics show I have little to worry about. Thanks for the post.

Wow, great photos Justin, and thankyou.
Great sofa too, and you saw RJ jump right on that, he knows great leather when he sees it!
Thanks again, I'll pass this on.

This topic has answered all my questions about a Rohrbaugh. Now I have to get one!

Wow...this leaves no doubt where Rohrbaugh got their idea from. Looks almost identical to the Seecamp except for being a little bigger!

Inspiration perhaps - - - but the details, engineering, etc are far, far different!

Two different guns for sure. When you see bothe the Seecamp, and R-9 field stripped you start to see the differences between them.

I have passed these comparison photos to my group, and so far, I have recieved positive feedback. There happens to be six of us, all waiting for our R-9s.These photos help us a lot.

Now, Seecamp, or Rohrbaugh, who's going to be first with a compact  45 ACP?

Oh Man! Being a good American, I love .45s   ;D   ;D  but what a handful a tiny .45 like that would be to shoot!
The piece would also have to be built on a larger frame than either Rohrbaugh or Seecamp to accept the fatter cartridge.

What a huge-looking hole there would be at the end of the barrel on such a little gun! Impressive, even just from a visual standpoint, but thinking about firing it makes me flinch. BOOM! (Long pause to lower gun and come back on target,) BOOM!    :o    Maybe I'd better stick to the 9mm.
Euro-Pellet in pocket pistols. I'm actually very impressed with the Rohrbaugh as it is.   ;D

Well, I woudn't think that the 45acp would be the same size as the R-9, however, if they were to make one, it would be the smallest DAO 45acp out there. I'm in line for one.
Para makes a small DAO 45, but isn't it along the 1911 style?
