I did the same thing, as far as not looking at the date, until about half way through the first paragraph and thought, opps, better look at the date of this post; and yep, correct word, heartbreaking, for sure.    :(

Not to worry, Corey.  It was interesting as well.

Fortunately, both my R9s have carbon fiber grips. However, I am encouraged that the factory is returning to cf, whatever the cost. Ok; that's a little foolish to say but anything beats G10.

Maroon carbon fiber? On my one tone Robar R9? Sounds good. Meanwhile, I would like to thank those of you who are behaving impatiently on this string. Kind of takes the heat off me for all my complaints about the R45.

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out logical's point until I realized the initial date.

I only saw the most recent dates and failed to realize that the inquiry referred to events 42 years ago (in dog years).

Big oops.

You are a better than me, John, as I have my head up a dark place owing to my love for carbon fiber and hatred of G10

Richard.  I sure wished I were here back in the good ole days!  One of those Farmingdale's would have definitely been in my pocket today.  Oh well,  we all have to want for something.  The want is just not as intense, now.   ;)

I had a boss one time whose response when someone said they wanted something, was. "Want in one hand and s**t in the other and see which fills up first"  ;D
