Now for

My son says gloss will be stickier and that the gun may not move around in my hand as much when shooting?

Any advice as I have my name on the list to get a set.

If you're one of those who e-mailed me after 9pm yesterday (8/11) requesting to be on the list, please e-mail again.
I seem to have had some ATT e-mail issues last evening.

Thank you.

I just received a message from the builder regarding the "stickiness" of the CF grips.

He pointed out that the "smooth" (gloss) grips actually provide a better grip then the "satin" finished grips.
"It's kind of like the way one's legs stick to vinyl seat covers while wearing shorts. It truly provides a surer grip than a textured surface".

I think that the words of our Adminstrator are important. However, if the internal issues as to grip fit are resolved, I say HURRAY!

I think the factory has disserved R9 lovers by withdrawing CF and substituting G10. Just because I have CF grips does not mean this matter is not relevant to me.

Bravo Curt!

Hi folks,

The molds are complete and the first set of CF grips will be done by morning.
As soon as I receive the grips, I'll take a few pictures both on and off my R9 and post them here.

I was just sent a photo of the CF grips.
Absolutely stunning, and they haven't even been polished.
I'll post some pictures after their polished.
Should be tomorrow.

Thanks

I can hardly wait!

When you get them, before you install the screws please try wiggling them around and let me know if they're tight or if they move at all.

Looking forward to pics!

... provided the tolerances for the trigger spring and the two locating pins are tight.  I really don't want to revisit the issues I had with the Rohrbaugh aluminum grips with these...
Had the same issue with another third party grip that would not hold the spring down.  That is CRITICAL.

Could be some value to BULGE them to assist us BIG-HAND goons.  I could use all the girth possible, and would consider them over my existing Rohr CF grips if they fit my long hand more gooder...
