What's up?
« on: October 16, 2009, 01:03:40 PM »
I just dropped $1200 for a new R9s yesterday, and
tried to call both the 800# and the regular# to order a holster and parts and get a recording.  I can't e-mail them, don't have a fax machine at home, and don't want to mail the order in and have it lay in the "In" basket with my credit card information on it.  I guess the question is; "Do they ever answer the phone?

The answer is yes but sometimes it may take another day or so depending on what they are doing.

The message on the voice recorder this morning said there was a high volume of calls, and the business hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Eastern time.  I just called at 3:30pm Eastern time, and now the message says; "Closed for the day, call back Monday!"

I too have got the recording and got Maria later that day or the next day. Remember they are small company of about six or so people, machining, building, testing, and shipping this fine pistol.

OO:

First of all, welcome to the Forum and congratulations on selecting the R9.

You will get a response, trust me. These Rohrbaugh pistols are hand made by a very small staff. You will probably be speaking to Maria, but you might find Karl or Eric answering the telephone.

definitely don't get "concerned"..... If they didn't answer I assure you there must be a real good reason.... Probably were out testing the R45!

Anyway, everytime I have called, Maria answered....

Finally got through to the lady yesterday.  The recorded message says the hours of operation are 9am to 5pm m-f, EASTERN time.  The office is on the West coast. Pacific time.
Was pleased with her attention to my order.

I'm glad, but not surprised, that you were pleased with Maria's attention to your order. She is the most courteous and professional customer service representative with whom I have ever dealt in the firearms industry.

Maria moved to Oregon.  She is asset to the company and a wonderful person.  So with the technology of todays communications she can work from Oregon and continue to represent Rohrbaugh Firearms. The factory is in Deer Park  Long Island NY.  Go Maria

I hope this situation works out for them but it is a bit unusual in a small company like this one not to be on location.

We can communicate with Maria like she's in the next room.  Sometimes we think she is.
