Nike
« on: July 03, 2019, 10:35:47 AM »
Nike, having first sipped the progressive “woke” Kool Aid courtesy of Mr. Kaepernitwit, has now OD’d on it, capitulating to the specious historical arguments in support of “politically correct” disdain for our nation’s flag.  My family will no longer purchase Nike branded products.  Mr. Kaepernick meanwhile would seem to have found his proper calling in emulating Jesse Jackson’s agitprop style.

Those are my feelings exactly but the Betsy Ross shoes are selling for $2500-3000 on E-Bay.

My list keeps getting longer.

No Levis.
No Nike.
No Dicks sporting goods.
Left BOA after almost 40 years.
No Costco.
Never will join AARP.
.........and the list gets longer all the time.

At some point the list becomes longer than the remaining years; and so it goes.

Why no Costco?
Having a gun in your hand is much more effective than having the entire police department on the phone!

Why no Costco?

Quote
Costco does not believe that it is necessary for firearms to be brought into its warehouse stores, except in the case of authorized law enforcement officers. For the protection of all our members and employees, we feel this is a reasonable and prudent precaution to ensure a pleasant shopping experience and safe workplace.

This, and the underlying sentiment behind it.

I'm with you on BofA also. Their customer service is second to none on the bottom rung. If you can comment what was your problem with them? They would not do a simple notary public for me. So, I walked next door to Wells Fargo for my first visit with no account there and they were most helpful and gracious with their notary.

BOA has been anti-gun for a long time.  They have started being proactive with their views, which are counter to mine. F'Them.

However one company has made a statement :)

And at $50 not a bad deal either.

It is interesting that both BofA and Costco here do not post the requisite Texas Penal Code 30.06 and/or 30.07 prohibiting guns on their premises. Technically, they cannot ban carry weapons without those signs as I am sure you are aware. But, the implicit anti gun philosophy is very evident in both institutions. Some carry states prohibit carry in banks among other things.

I agree tracker, many have made their intents known.

Good news is that HB 121 passed and got signed by the governor.

Now if we are discovered accidentally carrying in a place that has posted signs we can immediately leave and have a solid legal defense against prosecution for it.

Only in Texas would a gun penal code be numbered 30.06.

Probably due to 1911 already being taken.
