Chief.  You may have been right if it hadn't sold this time.   However, close is good!    :)

It speaks volumes about the pedigreed pup market.

Yes, in many ways we tend to over value them. In these times of a tough economy things tend to drop in price.

I know this issue has been addressed before but I am surprised that #106 is a two tone gun. I had a Farmingdale; (S/N forgotten), that I stupidly sold to buy another gun. (I figured I could always buy another one and when I did I was shocked that factory had dispensed with cf grips). My Farmingdale was a one tone gun with cf grips.

My Robar R9 is special to me as it most closely resembles the lost one tone Farmingdale. From the inception of the R9 was there a one tone and two tone option? Or, when did the two tone overtake the one tone R9?

If you are refering to a silver framed Farmingdale, it is a rare gun.

1 of 14 produced and 1 of 12 sold.

I bought the Farmingdale, in March, 2005, from a forum member who knew me from the custom knife world. It was his spare R9. Maybe he preferred the two tone? Now I feel even worse if the one tone I had was so rare.

When I bought my second R9, in 2008, I was bummed by the G10 replacement grips and did not like the two tone gun as much as the one tone.

Ultimately, Yankee 2500 became my "accidental R9 guru" when he wrote in this forum about the (aftermarket) Robar model he had ordered. I found one in the forum classified hours after being posted and have never looked back.

Then Yankee found the Rafter S holster and I ordered the same one. The only R9 matter in which we differ is the mag extension.

Does this look like a good place to sell Purses?
