Bianchi 6D-9A clip-on holster works for R9s
« on: October 10, 2009, 10:43:55 PM »
After carrying the R9s in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster for a while as a backup to a S&W snub or a SIG P239, and saying I'd never use the R9s for primary carry due to Euro style mag release and being finicky about ammo, I finally got tired of the weight and bulk of the SIG and bought a strong side holster for the R9s.

Result: R9s in a Bianchi 6D-9A clip-on IWB holster, on my strong side, works great.  The adjustable strap lets the R9s fit snugly; there's a thumb break for retention and easy access; and compared to the SIG P239 (that I love and want to carry), the R9s as primary is incredibly comfortable and well hidden in this holster.

Note -- I prefer to wear it between the pants and belt (i.e. outside the pants but inside the belt), rather than completely inside the pants.  It's just more comfortable to me.

In short, if you want to carry the R9s nicely concealed on the right side, the Bianchi 6D style, 9A size, fits well, and it was readily available at my local dealer for $25.

I just wanted a quick and easy solution and found it.
