If you are going to carry you have to get in the habit of carrying ALL the time ANYWHERE it is legal.  As has been said, bad things can and do happen anywhere, anytime.  Carry it all the time or don't carry it all because I can just about guarantee you that you and going to need it some day and if you are not carrying you will have to live with consequences the rest of your life.  That is if you live through it.

I think it was a Jeff Cooper adage, but I remember hearing some very good advice along the lines of, "If you're expecting trouble, you need to carry more than just a handgun."
