            John, (Yankee 2500) thank you for changing your avatar. The new one is much prettier. It was getting a little unerving hearing those banjos in the background every time I read one of your posts. ;)     Gene

John's new avatar may no longer invoke the sound of dueling banjos, but it somehow provides me with an uneasy reminder of tsetse flies and sleeping sickness, which leads to reminders of river blindness and encephalitic malaria. Other than that, it's a real beauty.   ;)

     Richard, the ordeal that Ned Beatty went thru in Deliverance does rather pale when compared to the afflictions that you mentioned. About a week ago I noticed an obituary for Bill McKinney, the actor in Deliverance who advised Ned Beatty to "squeal like a pig!", it said that McKinney was survived by "his son and several ex-wives". Sounds like the guy knew how to close a deal.    Gene
