Hi all - sorry so absent for so long - just pretty much dropped most of my forum time for months now. Busy plus - what I call ''forum burnout".
Anyways - I spoke with Eric two days ago and he told me the first (K101) of the .380's was being shipped.
Another 99 from this first batch of 100 are ready and another 100 frames are in process of being done by S&W for finish.
Altho the R9 FAQ site (http://www.acbsystems.com/boards/rohrbaugh/)is rather old and archival these days - made really in 2004 when the R9 was in early days - I have added a promo announcement for the .380.
Take a peek here (http://www.acbsystems.com/boards/rohrbaugh/)to see a coupla pics - click on the box framed in red you'll see.
Hope all my old friends are doing OK in these less than ideal times.

Hi Chris,
I took a couple of years hiatus myself and just recently dropped back in. I was wondering where you were. Glad to see you are alive and well and posting again.

I must try and slip by a bit more but have to say my forum time these days is very spotty. That said -- a real pleasure to hook up with old friends again.

Chris,
Nice to hear from you :)
I have been absent for awhile myself. Lately still in deep depression having America elect the first communist president.
Brenden - hope the surgery went well :) :)
Tom - hope you sell some of those R-380s.
The best to all of you.
Take care,
Dave
-
Dave, It's super to hear from you. I'm depressed as well about the direction our country is headed at the hands of the commies. Tom
-
Dave! Hello my friend ...... count me in too with the depression - it's overwhelming.
Great anyways to ''see'' you. Hope your trees survived that awful sustained wind event just over a week ago - worst I can remember.
-
Dave:
Welcome back!
I, too, am still reeling from the election results -- hoping for the best but unable to divest myself of a persistent sense of foreboding.

Thanks for the hello guys :)
Chris - the wind in the western part of the the state where the MountainMan lives was bad - but not near as bad as the hurrican force winds last September. I lost about 10 trees - some over 100 years. That is around the house - didn't walk the entire property to see if more are down.
The bad thing is that last summer I needed to take down around 10 trees that had died. Gave the wood to a friend who heats his house that way - hauled out about 12 dump truck loads.

Dave, good looking picture of a hard working mountain Man. Where is your beaver hat??? Tom
-
That's some big a' chunks there Dave - I'll bet the Bobcat earned it's keep doing that.
In front of our house we have a huge fir tree - must be 10' circumference at least at base and more than 60' high - I shuddered each time peak guts blew lest it fell - which would have taken out power and phone lines!!

Hello All, This was like reading an old thread, Glad you folks are doing well. On the bright side we only have 3 years 10 months and 4 days till he's gone. Hopefully he won't do to much damage in the meantime. Stay well Dan

Hey Dan :) - good to ''see'' you. Wish I could share your optimism re the above quote!!!! :(
-
Chris, Just being sarcastic, For the sake of our country I wish him success, But he scares me to death. Dan

Well, let's see, the market has fallen over 3,000 points since election day and nearly 1,000 points since he became president.
Do you think the market has confidence in his 3.6 trillion dollar budget?
-
I wish obummer much failure, the quicker we get him out of there the better the country will be. >:( Tom
-
For anyone out there wanting a Rohrbaugh 380, I still have some in stock. Please PM me with interest.
Dan, you have most likely shot more R9s and K380s than most of us, could you share wih us the difference in recoil?
Thanks, Tom
-
I don't find the R-9 particulary objectionable in recoil, but the the .380 is a pussycat. I don't think anyone would find that gun unpleasant to shoot.
I shot the original prototype at the factory several years ago.

I concur. As I have stated elsewhere on this forum, the .380 rocks. lol
-
Daune and Henry, thanks for your info. Tom
-
Tom, Sorry for the tardy response. Was up in the hills skiing and chasing coyotes around. As Duane stated the R-9 is stout but very manageable. The 380 is very soft, you can shoot it all day long. I find that my groups are about half the size as my groups with the R-9. ( 5 shot rapid fire ) Dan

Dan, thanks for the feed back. Tom
