Fly, I hope the open garage doors work well. Tie that plane down tight.
Looks like Florida got by OK. I sure hope Ala., does also.  Prayers are still with you.   Tom

Fly, Well, some time has passed and Dennis is now a big rain storm in Ohio. I sure hope you and yours are doing fine. On TV it looked like the beach area got hit hard. I sure hope your garage doors worked good and everything is fine.   Tom

I just had some damage to the exterior of the house this time.  Enough for another insurance claim -- but a far cry from what Ivan did.  Most of the damage in my area seems to be to trees and power poles -- snapped in half...

Navarre Beach got creamed however, as did some of Pensacola Beach.  If you guys want to check out some of the photos, go to www.pensacolanewsjournal.com and select the photo galleries.

My favorite picture is of a TV remote truck, half buried in the sand -- with the camera and tripod stuck in the sand next to it.  Evidently, some energetic news crew got a little too close to the action and were swamped by the storm surge... ;D

Somebody's not gonna get a raise this year.

Fly:

Welcome back!  I'm glad to hear your storm damage was minimal this time.

That's a great photo.  I'd like to have heard the news crew trying to explain all of that to the station owner.

The garage doors worked great -- not so much from the storm surge this time, but because a tree came down that put limbs into what would have been a wall.  Since the door was secured up, only a small hole resulted in the garage sheetrock.

I'll definitely secure them in the open position upon the approach of future storms.

Hey Fly,
Why did you change your tag line with the video clip of Tom Cruise from the movie Collateral? I thought that that was the coolest sign off that I ever saw and every time I would read one of your postings, I just had to watch it 2 or 3 times. I miss it. It was total class. How is the quest for RJ's Grim Reaper going?
