Well it's certainly been a long time coming (and it will be a little longer) but there is enough progress made to share the news.
CF Grips will be available very soon. (the pics are not the best, shot by the machinist with a cell phone)
This is the first set of CF Grips cut out. (no mounting holes yet)

Also coming soon are Aluminum and a few other materials to be announced soon.
No prices yet.

John. Carbon Fiber Grips; excellent. Will you have blue? :)
-
Right now the Black CF is it, other colors will probably come later.
There are several other interesting materials I will be offering
as we get them made.
If anyone has a specific request lets hear it. Now that the program is finished for the machining almost any material is possible.

They look great!!

CCW, Thanks it has been a lot of time and energy, but I think the final products will be worth it. :D

John when you have a idea on a price range for each please let us know.
-
John. Do you have a projected time of availability? Doesn't have to be accurate, just a guestimate.
-
Just be careful with material choices. The grips on the R-9 are subject to a lot of force on recoil. Obviously CF or G-10 are no problem, but I have had a couple pair of prototype wood grips break in my hand after 15 or 20 rounds. A non-stablized wood is going to be pretty difficult to do, as would other materials that don't have the requisite strength.
-
Duane,
Thanks for the warning.
I'm not sure were wood is on my list but it's not near the top, at least not by itself. More on that later. ;D

Corey,
As soon as I have that info I will, some is dependent on the machining time (cost).
kj,
There could be some finished tonight, but it will be at least a week before I have any in my possession.

I wonder how much Titanium would be?

If your interested in Titanium I can get a price for you. :D

Yankee2500 how are the grips coming along?
-
Don't ask. >:(
I am in the process of changing machinists and will have a better idea of were I'm at in the next week or so.
This has been a very trying and disappointing project for me, I had expected to have grips available months ago.
