Rohrbaugh on TV
« on: June 08, 2011, 09:57:22 AM »
i was dead-beat last night and wanted a brainless hour of TV to relax by.

turned on "NCIS: LA". it was part 2 of a silly story but still watchable. but did i do a double take when Linda Hunt opened a safety deposit box in the last few seconds of the show, revealing an all-silver Rohrbaugh with CF grips. wahoo!!!!

i guess that was a very very subtle way of displaying that her character was a woman of great class. why subtle? because i'd bet less than .01% of the viewing audience had any idea what they were seeing. but it worked for me.  :D

That is a very rare gun. I will have to check that episode out.

Thanks for posting it.

Coyote is right...at least on part of the post.  It WAS an all silver R9...s...I think....and the CF grips-they were there.  But, I MUST disagree on the watchability of the show.  It was sooo bad that he and I were probably the only ones watching it across the whole country.
That R9 was the ONLY thing real in the show!!  I was VERY surprised to see it !  :o

I guess three of us watched that episode.
The gun looked great; the show - not so much.  Hey, it has a great lead-in.  The original NCIS.

Add one more.  I did see it and thought I had missed seeing the R9.......then it appeared.

I went to network on demand and fast forwarded through the show to see the R9.  Thought I missed it, but caught it at the end.  Certainly looks like an early one.  Hard to tell, but I'd say it's an R9s slide and maybe a pre-R SN.

Is that an all silver frame or one of the purple hued ones I read about here?

Never mind the tube. Here it is on the "big screen" -- Olga Kurylenko as "Camille" in QUANTUM OF SOLACE:

One of the cable channels advertised  Quantum of Solace this weekend.  I'll have to watch.  "Camille" must be a little bitty thing because that R9 looks pretty big in her hand.....  Of course, any gun looks pretty big when it's pointed right in your face.  :P

You're right, at first glance I thought it was a Sig 239.

I was told what it was, so didn't have to wonder!  That was a good thing!    :)
