I will be amazed if it is approved for manufacture.

With proper grip and stance this could become a very effective nutcracker, but only if no cartridges are chambered.  Might function as cumbersome "brass" knuckles.  Loosen a couple of screws and it might function also as a castanet.  How about using one as a test for the airport screeners..."No sharp edges...can't be a weapon; must be art!"  Other thoughts?

On the positive side this piece could become a collector's item.

It seems to me that anyone who is inclined to carry will want to carry a "real gun" vs. this fiddly thing where you have to think about it/ready it before use.

All I see when I look at this is a weapon that is smuggle-able past no-gun checkpoints.

I love guns but would draw the line at allowing this one.

More like a "knucklecracker." Too wierd for me & not that small after taking 10 minutes to unfold.

It looks like an unusual thing to mess with..
But as far as a bug it would be too slow to get into action..
Looks to thick to be fitted into a belt buckle, some mini derringers can do that I believe.
I don't quite know where this will fit but I wish the company good luck with it!!

Be more likely to sell if it had a can opener, toothpick, magnifying glass, screwdriver and lock pick combined with it...might also benefit from a secret decoder to communicate with like-minded aficionados.

That reminds me of the "Captain Marvel" secret-decoder, glow-in-the-dark ring with the hidden compartment that I got by mailing in a coupon from a comic book when I was seven years old.   (I think I threw that ring away when it stopped glowing in the dark after a week or so.)   ;D

The CL380 will probably lose its glow after awhile, too. The $800 price tag, discounted for inflation, may approximate your sense of loss with the "Captain Marvel" ring. I recall a similar disappointment with a "Dick Tracy" watch. I wonder if their marketing department has thought about a "Cracker Jack" joint venture.

I seem to recall coveting a "Dick Tracy" watch back in those years.  If you were disappointed in yours, I'm probably lucky that I never managed to acquire one.

Now . . . with regard to "Cracker Jacks," the prizes were inevitably junk but the caramel popcorn was always good.
