Here's a holster just finished for Justin2992. It's covered with stingray, with the fin spine centered on the top of the slide. Stingray is a very tough material and makes for a very durable holster. May be hard to tell in the picture, but it's a very shiny skin, too.

Ray skin is most likely the most durable leather that can be used on a holster. It is a pain to work with, but as a consumer, I love it.
