Another New Member & proud owner R9S
« on: September 05, 2007, 11:36:19 PM »
Just a note to thank all that have contributed to help me make the decision to purchase an R9S w/CF grips.

After watching the take down video (thanks for the chop stick suggestion!) it was easy and after one failed attempt with my channel locks I was able to just slip it on with my fingers.

Just ordered some Win X 115 STHP's and Speer GDHP's 124's

Thanks again for all the great information that helped me sell my Kel-Tec P3-AT!

Good luck on the purchase!  I have an Elite R9s on order and would be interested on your feedback with the Win 115 STHP vs. the Speer 124 GDHP.  I am planning on sticking with the 115's only and will be testing the  Win STHP and Speer GDHP.  Whichever load works best will strickly be my practice and carry ammo.  Won't be shooting the gun for much tarket practice so I don't mind spending the extra money on the ammo that I know I can count on.  :-/

Newbie here also. Just posted some imho suggestions on Locktiting screws.

This forum is amazing! I've blown off a day and a half of customer work just reading posts!

Just ordered an R9 Elite w/sights 3 days ago, after a week of research that started out with a .45 Warthog on Gunbrokerdotcom and went though every so-called compact semi auto made. After putting the dealers personal-carry R9 in my (slightly shaking) hand  - I was sold....completely. The R9 is the piece I've been looking for all along, though I'd never even heard of Rohrbaugh before Friday last.

I dumped a SW airweight and a NAA 22mag Derringer as trade-ins with a song in my heart.

Can anyone give me a heads-up as to suggested add-ons, etc I might include with my order?

Thanks a million!

shakermountain: first let me welcome you and congrat's on making the right decision!

I would keep looking for anyone selling their RJ hedley 2 in 1 tool - your fingers will love you for it when putting the recoil spring back after cleaning + it takes the place of the "chop stick" although it works great for me too!  RJ doesn't make them anymore so keep an eye out for one.

If RJ is taking orders for his front pocket holster and mag pouch I would get one for sure! First rate quality all the way!

Enjoy!

Thanks Guys (are there any women  on this forum?)

I'll call Maria and add those to the order. Anyone tried the chrome silicon springs mentioned in another post?
