Porting a Pup
« on: September 03, 2010, 05:47:58 PM »
I read some where here about a Pup with some problems after porting it.
I have searched all the archives, but found nothing more about it.
I bought a RR  last week, and I'm thinking of sending it off to magnaport, was wondering if anyone has done this, any advice?
I've done this to several weapons, and I have been VERY happy with the results. I see where everyone is happy with AP&W's Porting, but personally prefer the aesthetics of magnaport.
Thanks

I have that pup.  It turned out to be a extractor problem and had nothing to do with the porting.  I carry that pup quite often.  I like the porting but I know its not for everyone.  I don't know of any magnaported pups.  I seem to recall that the won't do a pup for some reason.   Don't remember where I got that info.  Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I talked to them today, and they had no problem w/porting it, at least at this point.
Tried to reach Rohrbaugh today to make sure this will not     void the warranty , but they must be gone for the holidays.
