Hello all,
Here is a special auction to benefit the Rohrbaugh Forum.
The elders around here may recognize these pens—they were auctioned off previously and purchased by our very own
Eric Rohrbaugh. Eric has now generously donated them back to the forum for additional fundraising.
Eric kept the pens on his desk at the factory and used the set only occasionally to sign important documents
and at the SHOT Show.
Here is the old thread:
http://www.rohrbaughforum.com/YaBB.cgi?board=Water;action=display;num=1138849565;start=13#13This is a unique pen set originally donated by a forum member who chooses to remain anonymous,
so I don't know a lot about the item, but here is what I know:
This is a very nice handmade pen set made by a doctor who is also a shooter. Both are made from some exotic wood
& have brass accents.
One is a regular everyday ball point pen. It retracts and extends by twisting the barrel.
The brass pocket clip is in the shape of a lever action rifle.
The second is a unique knife/multi-tool with interchangeable tools/ blades stored inside the pen barrel.
There is a Phillips and regular screw driver, exacto knife blade, ballpoint pen, and a set of tweezers.
Both come in a black felt pouch.
So here is the deal... I have no idea what these are worth. I would raffle them off, but it is illegal in Florida under
these circumstances. So, its an auction. Bid here by replying to this thread. Auction closes at 8pm EST
on Saturday, December 6, 2008.
Starting bid will be $50, which is less than half the previous sale price. Please bid in increments of $5. The winner
will be the highest bidder when the auction closes, or if there are multiple high bids at the same amount, the winner
will be that post closest to 8pm EST (by forum time) without going over.
Once payment is received, I will ship this item via USPS insured mail, so you will have it in time for the holidays.
All proceeds will benefit this forum. Of course, your donation is NOT tax deductible!
You can ask questions if you want, but you know most of what I know about the items now.
Good luck and good bidding!
