VZ GRIPS
« on: January 04, 2011, 10:32:55 AM »
Has anyone used the vz grips yet, or is it a new product.  The slightly rounded profile looks interesting.

OK just found earlier thread, I see their new.

I just put mine on today and I really like them.  They are thinner than the stock grips, and their contour feels very good in the hand.

I ordered the smooth ones but the G10 material still has a somewhat grippy texture that feels just perfect to me.

No range trip yet, but here is a crappy cell phone photo for you :-)

Thanks Tim,   I went ahead and ordered them also,  I went with the checkered and like them too.  If I can figure how to post pics I will.

I kind of like the Black/Gray grips, non checkered.

I currently have a two tone R-9, but in the future I want to have the Robar treatment done and it won't be two tone anymore.

Decisions, I just don't know which color to get, I don't know how they will look.

I have the Rohrbaugh Carbon Fiber on now.

You ought to do the Robar now, it's 25% off!

Any problems with the fit?

Looks great. Good luck.

I may order the checkered.

I met up with John from VZ Grips and actually ended up with a pair of the Black/Grey.
They fit well and feel well.
Let me know how you like the contrast.
Oh, John had mentioned to me if at any time I did not like the grips color, just send them back for a complete exchange.
Now, I can see some folks taking advantage of an offer like that, me, I'd just like to have a few in different colors.

Looks real good.  I almost went with the black & grey instead of the black cherry.    Now I almost wish I did.

VZ will trade you for the grey ones if that's what you want!    :)

I shot with my VZ's tonight for the first time.  I am absolutely thrilled.  I have the checkered types and they really made a world of difference in my control and my accuracy.  I drilled the target with any ammo I had.  It makes the package just perfect for me. I'm much more confident now.

As an aside, I couldn't find a load the R9 wouldn't feed, fire, and fling, including the dreaded Blazer Brass.  They sure are a lot lighter than the Silvertips I carry!

Excellent review and thanks.
It sounds like the checkered VZ's do help. I know I like the feel, but have yet shot the R-Nine with them on it.
