Title: Ruger Nickle Slide W/ Gold Logo
Post by: Z on February 14, 2012, 03:07:17 PM
I was at a local gun shop and came across a Ruger LCP with a engraved nickle slide with gold logo that caught my eye.

I did not know if anyone has any experience with this model?

Let me know your thoughts. :)

It would appear to be one of the Talo Limited editions.

That's the one.
The dealer was asking $380.00.
Thought it looked interisting. I believe there are only 1500 being made.

I don't know how much the Talo's appreciate over the value of a standard model.

My S&W 44 mag is /was a Talo Limited edition but I had it polished.  ;D

I bought one two weeks ago.
It's a really nice looking gun. The engraving is excellent.
I believe they're only making 1,500 of them.
I'm not sure if I'm going to shoot it, or leave it in the box.

Excuse the bad cell phone photo.
It actually looks MUCH better.

I think I may take the plunge today. I have to travel near the gun shop for work, I might as well as buy it.

Adam.  This Talo Edition of the LCP does look very nice.  I have the standard version and very pleased with it.  I know you'll be happy with this one.  Enjoy!

Great!  Congrats.  I would have liked that one better than the standard version I got, but didn't know about the Talo at the time.  Enjoy!

I went to the Fun & Gun show in Charlotte today and saw one of the Ruger 9mms with the same slide treatment, didn't see any LCPs like it though.

I did not know they offered any other calibers with the same customization. I may have to spend more of the tax return! :)

Have seen a few of these and they do look nice; just don't need another 9mm, except maybe a......or a .......    ;)

I am just not a fan of the LC9 having an external safety.

Doesn't really bother me.  Maybe it's because I don't have one.    :)

The external safety, among other items, makes it California legal; case closed.
