Anyone know where I can get a nice exotic leather holster? Prefer alligator or ostrich.

Welcome to the Forum.

Kevin at K&D Holsters does some beautiful work in exotic leather:

R. J. Hedley occasionally uses aligator leather to trim his holsters and does extraordinary work.  He is taking some well-deserved time off until 2006:

RonGraham has his signature line at Pale horse on the exotic holster page.  He makes an excellent holster at a pretty good price.

I have several examples of Kevin's work in different colors of 'gator...  I will try to post some pics.  I have also seen his ostrich, stingray, iguana, elephant and some others.  Very cool stuff.

Thanks, DDGator.

I think you should take a serious look at Matt DelFatti's work.  He makes exquisite holsters utilizing an array of exotic skins, not to mention that his holsters are considered to be the best in the business.  Lou Alessi and Josh Bulman are at the top as well, and they also do exotic skins.  You just may have to wait a bit of time for a holster from one of those three - but well worth it IMHO.

I have had the fortune to have a few of pieces of Matt's work and it is very, very nice.  Matt's only problem is that his wait is too long!  ;)  I have tried to sell him advertising here on the forum, but he seems to have all the customers he needs!  Matt is clearly one of the best in the business.

Matt's stuff is well worth the wait if you can be patient.  But, don't let Kevin sell his work short either.  Kevin has the skills to be one of the top leather-cutters around and his reputation is spreading quickly.  In a few more years, he will have a year long wait too...

Glad you are still reading the forum, Matt!

Pardon the poor quality pic, it is the best I could manage with flash and artificial light...

Here is my "Gator carry system" -- a black Laredo belt holster with black gator trim and a black Pocket Defender with brown gator trim.  Both are for a S&W J-frame.

Ferret, welcome to the forum.

Don't forget Milt Sparks.  They made my PCH pocket holster for the R9S using elephant.  It fits the pocket perfectly.

The current delivery time is around 12 weeks.
