Training with Randy Cain / Southern Exposure
« on: July 30, 2004, 03:28:38 PM »
I am seriously considering taking Randy Clain's "revolver only" tactical handgun at Southern Exposure's facility in Lakeland in November.  Anybody trained with Randy?  I believe he teaches at Gunsite and other places as well.

DD, My wife has taken 2 classes from Randy & he is an excellent instructor IMHO. I "sat thru" both the classes, & you'll get more than your moneys worth.

Welcome to the board, ACR.  Thanks for digging up my old thread...  :D

At Randy's recommendation, I have actually signed up for the 3-day (with night shoot) Tactical Hangun 101 class instead of the revolver class.  He suggested this would be a good first class.  I am going in December -- already have my spot reserved.

I still think I am going to take it with a wheelgun -- even if it puts me behind the curve.  I am not sure -- I think I can keep up with my moonclip fed 625.

I don't think I could shoot 600+ rounds through my R-9 in  days though...
