1 to 2 years for the R45 :( I thought it was closer than that. :o

I agree! There were postings of orders being taken. It would be nice if we got the real scoop on this issue. If any of you can confirm if that time line is accurate I would appreciate it.

One to two years is about right. Price will be north of $2,000 and maybe north of $2,500. This will be a very high-end gun.
Interest at the show was very strong and they have a long list of interested buyers already.

No doubt, but some may change their minds when they find out what the R45 is really going to be, and what it is going to cost. I think many speculated the R45 would be another pocket gun, and that is not the case.

I have changed my mind based on current information. :'(

Jack -- you might consider looking at Springfield's new XDS 3.3 in .45 ACP. It's 5+1 and is quite small.

At times I carry a Glock 36 and Wilson Compact CQB. The R9 is and will remain my primary daily carry gun. ;)

Based on the current look and information on the R45 I will probably not be in any hurry to get one.
For Ed Brown money I would get the Ed Brown just because there are a ton of holsters and accessories immediately available, something that will be a long time coming for the R45.

I do like an Ed Brown! :)

Well, don't go by the look of the top end. The slide is not machined how Karl wants it yet. The gun will definitely have a clear Rohrbaugh family resemblance.
As for holsters -- 1) I bet we can get a couple good holster makers interested right out of the box, and 2) I am not sure that a 1911 officers model holster won't work for this gun? I guess we will have to wait and see on both points.
