Brenden:

I didn't realize until Corey found and posted it here that they had put that photograph I took on their website, but tell Trixie that Richard sends his very best.  ;)

Pleasant dreams, my friend.   8)

Brenden, I had this done last fall as a test for sleep apnea. It wasn't too uncomfortable. I fell asleep quickly and woke only once during the night. If you access wikipedia and look up "sleep apnea", you'll see a picture of a guy all wired up and ready for bed. That's exactly how I looked last fall and how you'll look tonight!! Good luck,  Gene

Thanks all for the info!!

Corey,
You accessed my regular nursing staff-that is why I am a bit worried about this other staffing at the "sleep center"!!
That is a very nice picture of Candi though-thanks!! ;)

Richard, you are mistaking the pic for Trixie,Candi's twin sister-easy enough to make that mistake though!! ;D

I have to drive 200 plus miles one way to do this "study",so i'll be all set for some rest.. 8)

That might explain why I thought I was seeing double when I woke up about 3:00 a.m.   ;)

Sleep apnea study must be the new hot thing. My sister and brother-in-law just had one and are now using their new sleep assist machines that only allow breathing through the nose, mostly while sleeping on the back.

My Doc at the VA wanted me to have a sleep study, because my wife told him I snore a lot. I sleep good and wake up feeling rested, so I'm not going to join the Hosehead movement.

Best of luck, Brenden

John,
You have made a brilliant decision. The proof is how you feel when you wake up. This current topic is usually started by a disgruntled sleep mate.

I didn't see this yesterday.  I have done an number of sleep studies.  No big deal.   MUCH better than a digital rectal exam.  ;)

I use a CPAP machine and its no big deal either.  A small price to pay for getting good quality sleep again!

It also beats a colonoscopy but that isn't nearly as bad as imagined either for the peace of mind it offers.
