I would guess for VIP self protection.

VIP protection doesn't explain the military aspect where these cases were located; it could also be the Mossad who have an interest in small concealment.

I am suggesting that it might be something for a general to stuff in their pocket when they might be near some possible harm and not wearing typical battle gear and escorted by a security team.

Personally I think that are many other choices for 'covert work' on the market that are better suited.  My feelings about the Rohrbaugh is that it is for close personal protection where it's size makes it ideally suited for concealment.

If you got some James Bond secret agent ideas about this that I am not aware of, please share them.  Since all I get is a military storeroom, and not a particular base (like 'The Farm' at Camp Peary) or anything to better define who comes and goes from there.

I was told by the guy selling the Rohrbaugh boxes that he bought them ( about 10 ) from a friend in the Army who was cleaning out an old supply closet on base. I guess the Army bought some Rohrbaughs too! Eric? Do you remember?

Seller stated they come rom Fort Bragg. Bragg is home to the Green Beret's. The ones I worked with in Vietnam had a UNLIMITED supply of every type firearm from many countries.

Interesting though that a R9 hasn't shown up on a auction site with U.S.. Property stamped on it.

I am sure some ended up with 'spooks' or diplomats BUT they would be out of Langley Va, or Quantico Va. not Bragg.

Just got my 3 factory boxes. YES they are 100% factory new but I do have a question: If you use one, that didn't come with the gun you have, isn't that the same as using different paperwork that the cry babies whined about?

I'm waiting for mine too from the same guy.  Is there a date code molded into the boxes?  I'm curious what time period these are from.
