When I asked "what is old" I was referring to the mags, not age.I am just curious about the difference in the magazines I got when I bought my R9 new back some years and the mags we got in the group buy a few year years back. There was a difference?

Ok I will reply.  The older magazines have welded seams down the back of the magazine. I personally prefer them over the newer mags.

Thanks tattoo for replying.I figured when nobody responded it was thought that I was just trying to be funny.
Mine do not have a weld down the back seam, nor do the ones we got on the group buy a few years back.Kind of curious why a welded seam might be better than a solid one.Eric? your thoughts?

The welded backs were our first magazines. We wanted to clean up the look, so we belt sanded the backs flat for the newer model magazines. There was never an issue with "the cans" splitting with either design. I preferred the sanded back jobs myself. They are both fine magazines with no problems to them, just a matter of choice as to how they looked.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.
