Thank you, John; as with most things it does become somewhat easier with practice. A pitching deck doesn't help much, either.

That lever action cannon may be more appropriate for West Texas rancher wetback control rather than eastern Tennessee ridge running short range.

That Taylor's Ridge Runner .45-70 is really tempting.  As for the Big Horn .500 .... Wow!  However, I've had my right shoulder repaired twice for a torn rotator cuff.  I suspect that only my orthopedic surgeon would recommend that I get one of those.   ;)
