A Special Request for a WWII Vet
« on: November 05, 2020, 02:04:44 PM »
HI Guys,
I'd like to ask a favor.  My Dad, a WWII vet and Silver Star recipient will be 100 years old on Dec 10, 2020.  Due to the virus we are not going to be able to have a birthday bash for him.  (The assisted living home he's in won't let anymore than 2 people in at a time.)  So we're going to try to overwhelm him with cards.
I'm asking for any of you that are so inclined to please send a card or even an email to me wishing BOB SCHNEIDER a Happy 100th and thanking him for his service.  If you mention that you have grips or a holster from me he'll be able to connect the dots.  Please send them BEFORE THANKSGIVING to me at the address below.

I know that a lot of my customers will not see this so if you have a chance to spread the word I'd appreciate it.

Cards (Preferred) to:
BRIAN SCHNEIDER
5217 FLEUR DE LIS CT.
ATLANTA, GA 30360-1201

Email:  BRIAN@DESIGNERGRIPS.COM

Great Idea!

I'll get a card this weekend and mail it to him.

Tell us more about his service if you can.  What branch, etc.

Will do!!!
Having a gun in your hand is much more effective than having the entire police department on the phone!

Card’s in the mail,  Brian!  You just rushed to make me a set of Seecamp grips, so a gift would arrive on time. Thank you, Chris O.

I just sent a card out today Brian. God Bless your father and all that served during those WWII years. Amazing people.

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who sent cards and emails for Dad's 100th birthday.  The home is in total "lock down" mode right now due to one of the employees testing positive for covid.  Bad enough that his family couldn't see him but all the residents are confined to their rooms for the next 2 weeks so his friends in house couldn't even see him to wish him a Happy Birthday.   Thankfully forum members came through in a big way.  Dad received over 100 cards and a ton of Army memorabilia including 104 infantry "TimberWolf" pins, patches, T-shirts, ball caps, etc.... AND.... a new Silver Star.  He loved it.  He really had a great day due to all your efforts.
Here's a picture of him on the big day.   12/10/2020

Thanks again.

Some of you have asked about his Silver Star so I thought I'd post it here.
