Title: Checkering ???

I have a Wilson Combat with beautiful checkering on the mainspring housing and front strap I would love to have duplicated to my R9 for added grip. Has anyone had their "pup" checkered?... and if so who did you have do the work??  and did it need re-finished?

It did have to be refinished.
