I would like to shoot the R9s more at the range but it seems that I can comfortably shoot only about 30 rounds per range session. Is there any forum member who uses the R380 for training at the range (so more rounds can be shot) and carry the R9? ;)

I have not heard of any members doing that yet. Really don't even know many R380 owners. However, there was a thread started about 6 or 8 posts down about a concern of using an R380 as a trainer to save wear and tear on the R9.
That concern was alleviated in that post.
As far as your idea, if you just can not get any further with your R9 over time with practice, then you may have a valid idea that may just fill your need.
Afterall, what's wrong with buying another Rohrbaugh ? 8)

That is exactly what I do with my R380 and R9s. Works for me. :)

sisco. Welcome to the Forum. Do enjoy! I haven't been on the Seecamp Forum lately. I remember seeing your signon handle on the Seecamp Forum (sisco50). Again, welcome.

I once owned an R9S and would say it worked for me very well.

This is a reiteration of something I've posted before but still true. I have two each of R9's and two .380's. When I go out to the desert around here I usually shoot 2 or 3 mags of 9mm before I start shooting the .380s. I don't have a set amount that I shoot, but I usually shoot all the .380 cartridges I bring. The Rohrbaugh .380 is truly a joy to shoot. I think that I get more enjoyment from shooting them than any other gun that I've ever shot! Don't get me wrong, I like shooting the 9s also, but those little .380s are just special! Gene
